1 month old

One month old
9.6lbs
24in long
(from head to toe, not heel)
But best of all...
I sleep through the NIGHT!!!!

My brothers can't seem to get enough of me.

They fight over who gets to hold me all the time.
My fear of being dropped has definately gone through the roof, hence the
concerned look on my face.
I hope I live to see next month.

One week old already!

I can't believe it has already been a week.
And by the look on her face, it must have been a long one.

They are just so cute when they're sleeping.

Ok, and when they're awake.

Ahhhhhhh, done taking pictures at last.

Alison Caige Jeppsen

Alison is finally here.
7lbs 15oz
20in long
Things started out slow, but then quickly turned into a race to the finish line. I hadn't had my "drugs" in for more than 15 min when out she came. Needless to say, the drugs didn't kick in until after she was born. Not yet one minuet old, and already trouble.

She wasn't anymore cooperative after she was born either. It took them forever to get her to cry. All she wanted to do was sleep.

But her peaceful slumber was short lived. Enter.......her brothers!

They couldn't decide who got to hold her first, so they shared.

When the time came to go home..........well............ this pic should tell you exactly how she felt.

But once we got home, she turned into a perfect angel.

Keeping up with Dawson

Do not be fooled!
This is the face of evil.
I have decided that it is just impossible to predict or even keep up with this one.

Example #1
I woke up one morning to a very curious Justin, who wanted to know where Dawson was. We looked just about everywhere before I started to panic. Then just for kicks I told Justin to look under the bed, and low and behold, I pulled out the dress-up box and there he was. Fast asleep.

#2
No long story here, he was just supposed to have been getting into the bath.

#3
This turned out to be his 3rd or 4th plate of cobbler and ice cream. After the rest of the kids left the table, Dawson decided to go on cleanup duty. Oh, and the horribly orange vest, is a safety precation we take because he tends to wander.

#4
Again, I couldn't find Dawson. He had somehow gotten out of his room while having "quiet time" and this is where I found him. Naked as a Jay bird, swimming in the dogs water dish.

#5
I didn't get a pic of this one, but had to include it. Because of his adventurous nature, we have child proof locks on all the door leading to the front yard. So when I glanced outside one day and saw Dawson riding he bike down the road, I was surprised to say the least. I checked all the doors, not only where they closed, but they were all still locked from the inside. It wasn't until two days later that I discovered his little escape route. He has craftily pushed out the screen in the front window, climbed outside onto the grill, over to the bench and was free!

#6
This one almost made me wet myself.
On the night in question, Jacob didn't get home until after 11. He went in to kiss the boys, then came into bed and asked why I had Dawson with me. I told him I didn't and that he should be in bed. We immediately went to investigate. We looked under the bed, up on Justin's bed, in the closet, behind the dresser, in the tub, the baby's room, the kitchen, under the couch, the wash room, and then I saw it. A hand, not just any hand, but a mans hand poking out from behind the boys curtains. In the split second that followed, I knew what had happened. Some guy had kidnapped Dawson and was on his way back for Justin when we interuppted him. I got dizzy, I almost threw up, I was in mid reach for Jacob's arm when the hand moved just slightly and became not a full hand, but two little feet. As the relife swept over me I started laughing so hard I couldn't stay on my feet. So there I am 7 months prego, rolling on the floor in the middle of the night. Now that would have been picture worthy. Can I just tell you that never before have I understood why people wet them selves out of fear, until then. NO, I didn't actually do it, but it was a close one. Why oh why can't my kid just sleep in his bed like a normal child.

P.S. In the dark those feet looked a lot more like a hand than they do in the pic.

Thwarted again!

So this is our new little friend. I affectionately call him "I hate you you stupid animal for keeping me up all night!" But we call him Racco for short.

Racco is a sneaky little thief. He waits until we close down for the night, then climbs the fence into the "Food storage center" and happily eats a nice free buffet.

We have tried telling him that we close the doors at 9:00pm, but he just doesn't listen. We have even had the security guard (our Dog) talk to him a few times, but to no avail. We are now in the proses of setting up a complex sting operation. So far we have been unsuccessful. I will update as things progress.

Please take one more good look at this masked criminal. He is mostly gray with a black mask, he has a ringed tail, and if you look closely at his left front paw, you will see what police are assuming is an old prison tattoo in the shape of a scull and cross bones. Please call if you have any information regarding this case.

Confessions from a mom

So, I am totally stealing this from my friend Donna. It was just to good not to share.

Have you ever:

Had to pick Chuck E Cheese tickets out of your bed at night?

Gone pee-pee while on hold with the cable company (and had the dude answer a little sooner than you expected)?

Been tired enough to actually give your child a hostess cupcake to eat on the couch?

Awaken to a suspiciously warm, wet sensation coming from a sleeping child beside you and just closed your eyes again, praying for another 5 minutes?

Silently hoped the kids would fall asleep on the drive home so you wouldn't have to brush their teeth?

Slipped your kids a treat for being exceedingly cute, even though they'd had enough sugar already?

Been scolded for trying to flip multiple pages at once to get through a particularly obnoxious children's book?

Ignored your pressing To Do List so you could cuddle your kiddo on the couch?

Hidden candy wrappers at the bottom of the trash can so no one (not even you) will see the evidence of your binge-a-licious crime?

Been mid-diaper/ -mess/ -project and looked the other way while the baby ate something (that's right, I'm gonna say it)- from last night's dinner that he found on the floor?

Congratulated your kid for hitting another child who has been mean, while at the same time trying to look like you are punishing him?

Put your potty trained child back in a diaper so you could lock him in his room with a movie while you go take a nap?

Praised you child for peeing on the play ground because at least it wasn't in his pants?

...Oh. I have!

Justin is 5

Yes, he has turned 5. And yes, I know he turned 5 in like December, but I'm just now getting to it, so deal.
He has waited through all his friends birthdays, and his brothers and now it is FINALLY his turn.

His cake was a target, just in case you couldn't tell. I also had to warn the parents not to be alarmed if certain bodily emissions were red tinged, it's just the frosting.

We reserved the gym at the church so the boys (and one girl) could have "Nerf Wars!"

It was hilarious. They had so much fun acting like little gun slingers and army men.
