Discovery Center

Mine and Jenny's kids. Justin and Beckham got along together better that Jenny and I ever did. They were hilarious.

This is when we went to the Discovery Center. The construction zone was Justin's favorite part.

Justin kept rocking so hard that Dawson would flip right over the top.

For some strange reason he loved this goose.

He kept trying to see who was down there blowing at him.

While the boy's were in the Chopper, Justin hit a button that turned on the sound. Justin freaked out. He started yelling, " I don't want to go up, I don't want to go up." Then he jumped from the aircraft. It is nice to know that he has a level head, and doesn't panic under pressure.

Dawson was very hungry....

So Justin went shopping. But all he got was asparagus.

The other great attraction was the water falls.

Even though the Center was way over priced and got the kids sic later, the boys loved it.

Our trip to Utah

We went to Utah to go through the Temple with Bree and Will.

After the session we took family pics. It was so windy and the kids were out of control. But we did get a few good shots.

The sky was perfect. As you can see the clouds turned into a heart at just the right time.

If you look close you can see a reflection of the temple in his glasses.

Dawson didn't like the wind, so his brother took care of him.

While we were waiting Justin danced and sang us a song.

How a kids mind works

Last Sunday started out as your average Sunday. Got the kids up, dressed, fed, and then to church.(not on time mind you) Justin was of course "active" as usuall, untill we picked him up from class. I didn't notice anything at first, he was just so quite. Which should have been a dead give away. But it wasn't untill we were almost home that I finally asked him what was wrong. He looked up at me with thses almost angry eyes and said, "My teacher says I'm going to die alone." I lost it, Jacob now had to take over because I was dieing of laughter in the front seat. I have no idea where he would have come up with this, or how he could have construed a lesson on how God made all animals in to dieing alone. Then he goes onto say that when we die, Nathan said we geat a treat. He then wanted to know what we got. Daddy explained that we got to go live with Heavenly Father. Justin didn't like that very much and said, "NOOO, your wrong, Nathan said we get a treat." For thoses of you who don't know Nathan, he is one of Justins friends and he is 3. Therefor, he must know everything. Oh how a kids mind works.

While Justin was playing his new game, Dawson got to wrestle with dad.

The boys really wanted to go camping, so we made the kitchen into a tent and had hot dogs. They thought they had died and gone to heaven. The only problem is, now they want to do it all the time.

I think it was tuesday. I got up and it was just one of those days, the sun was shining, birds were sining, and the boys had slep in. If you can't see where I am going with this let me help you. I was in a GREAT mood. I was in the kitchen just singing and dancing to a song on the radio. While pulling a fabulous rock star move, I happen to notice that Justin had woken up and was watching me. With this wide eyed look of combined wonder and disguse, he shakes his head and says, "Mom, just cook." My only guess is that he was born with no sence of style.

A sobering truth.

So I learned a sobering truth today. It has actually been a question that has plagued my mind for some time. I guess I just never really wanted the answer, or maybe I was afraid of the truth. whatever the reason, I was still not looking for the answer. I think many of us have that problem in todays world. We think that if we don't know, it can't hurt us, or at the least we have the safefty of bliss in our own ignorance. But I am hear to tell you that ignarance can only trap us, and only the truth can set us free. So I have taken it upon myself here to share what I have so unwillingly learned. For those of you who don't want to leave the bliss that ignarace has sheltered you with, stop reading now. But for those of you brave soles, who, like me, have chosen to embrace truth, here it is. Twinkies have no nutritional value. I'm sorry, that is the truth of the matter. Please, I urdge you, if you are having problems coping with this, contact me. I am here to help. And remember, there is no shame in crying.

Play School

We had Play school at our house this past week. The kids learned about how the Indian ground wheat to make bread. They loved it. Then the next day we actually made bread out of the wheat they ground.


The next day we made the letter Q out of beans.
Then Justin crashed hard core.
